Who, What, Where?

Los Angeles - Stylistas who love Madison, the chain of specialty contemporary boutiques sprinkled throughout posh L.A. neighborhoods, will adore Madison Gallery, an upscale version of its younger sister. The 2,770-square-feet luxury retail spot opened this month in Malibu Country Mart and houses such high-end labels as Nina Ricci, Matthew Williamson, Marni (YUM), Derek Lam, Zac Posen and tons more, plus emerging designers like Erin Fetherston, Thomas Wylde, and Sari Gueron (love, LOVE her ladylike designs - click here to see them). Make room on your credit cards before showing up at this Malibu location because prices range from a (meager - HA!) $668 for Balenciaga jeans to around three thousand big ones for Marni dresses.

Houston - If diamonds are a girl's best friend, then our favorite pal just showed up in Houston's Galleria shopping center. Jewelry brand De Beers opened its fourth U.S. store, marking the first of several openings to take place in the next few months. The 1,353-square-feet space has the same modern look as the other De Beers boutiques, with all those fabulous diamonds on display in freestanding cases (to give us girls a 360-degree view of the sweet, glorious sparklers). Prices for these magnificent jewels range from the low hundreds all the way up into the millions! True friends don't come cheap, do they?

Martini. Lounge.

There are some days when - after battling morning rush-hour traffic, sitting in my office for ten hours, and then battling the evening rush from downtown to get home - I just want to collapse. I don't want to meet the girls for a tasting at the hot new wine bar, or for drinks at our favorite martini lounge. I just want to get through my front door, poor myself a glass of wine (a martini if it's been an extra-trying day), and chill with Jenni.

The Jenni collection of beyond comfy, so affordable loungewear (without stuff written all over the butt) allows me to bring the martini lounge home! I can relax in style - drink in one hand, gossip magazine in the other. Plus there's no valet to wait on, no half-eaten appetizers to pay for, and no snooty server to tip. It's the perfect night out, in.

Check out the Jenni collection at Macys.com, and have a great night!

In Luv with Chuck

Leave it to LuvCharlie.com to house everything I crave for my Fall wardrobe in one convenient shop! Here's what I'm pining for right now:

Besides the label's adorable name, I'm diggin' the length of this Dream Society cardigan. I loved the extra long sweaters at Stella McCartney Fall 2007, and this is just as luxurious but much less expensive. Plus it'll look great belted over skinny jeans tucked into boots.

Dream Society Charlotte Cardigan, $108

Yumi Kim makes the most delicious dresses and this one is perfect for layering over tights this fall. I love the crisp, purple sunbursts jumping off the blue background of this mini, but it's the flirty length I adore most. I'd pair it with layered gold necklaces and glossy nude lips. Magnifique!

Yumi Kim Starburst Dress, $205

Is this LaRok coat not the most divine?! From the fold-over collar to the just-the-right-amount-of-puffiness puffed sleeves to the skirted peplum, I am ten kinds of crazy about this piece! And you already know how I feel about plaid - this red pattern with pops of yellow and purple is the most fetching I've seen this season.

LaRok Plaid Drive-In Coat, $348

The simplicity of this Chrissa Collection tunic is what makes it so special. Pretty on its own, this versatile piece begs to be paired with matte red lips, a high, patent heel and the chunkiest of cocktail rings for a look that screams effortless chic.

Chrissa Collection 3/4 Sleeve Top, $162

Oh, and of course a softly-tousled bun to show off the ruffle trim at the neck!

Manoush is one of those labels that nails it every time! Each piece is a beautiful treasure that is slightly whimsical but not precious. This dress is undeniably charming, with its pleated empire waist and darling tie, and I love that it can easily make the transition from office to after-hours.

Manoush Nicole Tie Neck Dress, $182

Who, What, Where?

San Francisco - The Barneys flagship store opened its first store in San Fran today. The 60,000-square-feet store is located in downtown's fashionable Union Square, right next to Macy's West Coast flagship store.

Women's merchandise includes collections from Bottega Veneta, Rick Owens, and Vionnet - all exclusive to the San Francisco market - plus Stella McCartney, Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, and tons more. Whether you can afford to shop at Barneys or not, this sizable location is worth checking out, if not only to see the mannequins with lamp shade faces.

Barneys plans to open additional flagship stores in Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Arizona in 2009.

A Little Spoonin'

The Spoon: good for scooping, nay shoveling, the chocolatey contents of a pudding cup into my mouth; great as a cuddly, cozy embrace with my honey; best as a calorie-free, no man required, hand-painted, work of art hanging from my neck as an expression of my individuality and good taste.

Enter SpoonFed Art, a collection of wildly unique pendants made of actual spoons and featuring colorful artwork from creative genius Karin Collins. Battling an eating disorder, the Los Angeles-based artist starting painting on spoons as a means of coping. She launched SpoonFed Art after receiving more than a few compliments when she wore the pendants out. Each miniature canvas is handmade and hangs from a black suede cord necklace (which you can easily swap for your favorite chain), PLUS SpoonFed Art supports the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA), which means you support NEDA with every gorgeous pendant you purchase. You stylish and chic do-gooder, you... You really deserve a hug!

Want free shipping on your fabulous SpoonFed Art necklace? Okay. Click here right away! Offer ends September 30, 2007.

Emerald City

So it was my birthday on Thursday and I've spent the past three days celebrating (sometimes it takes a few days) and enjoying some amazing gifts. It all culminated this afternoon when I took in a matinee showing of Wicked, which was gorgeous and adorable and gave me the chills! Seeing the Emerald City come to life before my very eyes was mesmerizing, but admittedly my mind did begin to wander a bit, and I couldn't help but think about how badly I am in need of a few green pieces in my closet. No, I'm not abandoning my love of all things pink, but this afternoon my admiration for jade, kelly, and emerald grew exponentially! Inconveniently, that admiration comes with a side of mild obsession, so I spent the rest of the afternoon scouring the internet for my next purchase - a cute, new green handbag for the fall. Found it at Intuition!

Mariah Bag, $68

This bag is perfect for so many reasons: a) it's fabulously green, b) it's shiny patent and has a gorgeous quilted look, and c) it's only $68!! Yes, you absolutely read that right - sixty eight bucks! My birthday money will be well spent!

Monday Night Fabulous

I am a football widow - if my guy's not playing, he's coaching, and if he's not coaching he's watching. I'm also a girly girl, so wearing babe's oversized jersey to the sports bar is out of the question, and somehow belting the thing and rocking it with platform pumps and hoop earrings doesn't fare so well with the other fans (What? It was cute!). Fortunately for me, Reebok has just launched a new NFL for Her line featuring (surprise) hot little NFL team tanks, tees, and jerseys, making my Monday night a little more stylish!

Shopping is easy - just click here and pick your (or his) favorite team!

Congrats Ms. Berry!

Congratulations to the always-gorgeous, ever-stylish Halle Berry, who's expecting her first child with too-cute beau, Gabriel Aubry. I can only hope to look as good as she does when I get pregnant. Sis looks good, doesn't she?!

Who, What, Where?

Los Angeles - Another BCBG store just opened up in the City of Angels, L.A.'s 12th BCBG boutique. The 3200-square-foot space can be found at 8400 Melrose Ave. (corner of West Melrose and Croft Avenues). The store is located next to Theory, A.P.C., and Diab'less boutiques. Hello, location! This is a shopaholic's wildest dream come true! (And in my shopaholic dreams the credit cards are limitless - fun, yeah?)

New York - And speaking of Diab'less, the contemporary French brand that opened its first U.S. store last spring in L.A., is headed to New York. The two-level, 1500-square-foot store is due to open in late September at 1138 Third Avenue (between 66th and 67th). Diab'less, meaning "female devil," is known for its flirty (rather flirty) styles, such as chain mesh dresses and deep V-neck minidresses for fall.

More 3.1 Philip Lim to Love

You probably already drool over 3.1 Philip Lim dresses and jackets, but now the designer is adding swoon-worthy shades to his to-die-for eponymous line, according to a report in WWD.

3.1 Philip Lim sunglasses (image from WWD)

"This felt like the natural evolution of building 3.1 Philip Lim into a lifestyle brand," the designer revealed to the magazine.

Attendees of Lim's Sunday night show at New York Fashion week will have a sneak peek of the shade collection when he debuts The Kitt, an sexy aviator style for men and women. The Kitt will be available exclusively at Lim's namesake boutique in SoHo for about $240. A full range of styles will be available for next fall, and will retail for $180 to $325.
