Flower Girl

Spring's ubiquitous floral prints are certainly not your garden variety this year - they seem to be fresher, prettier, and brighter than ever before! Case in point, actress Joy Bryant looking positively stunning in a chocolate and cream Missoni gown (with pockets!!) at the New Yorkers for Childeren gala in New York this past week. The Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins star inspired me to find more of spring's most fabulous floral frocks!

I'm wild about these two dresses from New York designer Beth Bowley - they're brilliant for rising temperatures and sweet little details like the braided neckline of the 'Carnations' Silk Dress (left) and the embroidered vines on the 'Garden' Embroidery Dress (right).

Forever 21 has the best finds for high-low dressing. I spotted this Eyelet Tube Dress and was surprised at how appealing the Laura Ashley-esque print is. At $23 it's definitely the low of the fashion equation, saving you enough money to pair it with the season's must-get chunky-heeled sandals or the Cynthia Vincent 'Harper' Gladiator Wedge I love so much!

I am a huge fan of Karen Zambos and think every collection is fantastic! I love the sleek silhouette and deliciously pale print of her Silk Long Strapless Dress (left), and the equally fabulous print but flirty girlishness of the St. Barts Dress (right). Both are must-haves for a stylish vacation this summer!

I am extremely fond of this color story--fell in love with the entire Fall 2008 Bow & Arrow collection at L.A. Fashion Week, thanks in large part to the black, white, gray, and hot pink fashions. This Morgan Ruched Cross Over Dress is deeply fetching and I love that the print is darker than you'd expect for florals.

I absolutely love that dress Joy is wearing. Flattering from every angle.
